partnership
Partnerships and white-label

Offering Peppol in your own product takes more than an API connection: certification, network management and standard changes have to be right, while your customers expect a smooth experience. eConnect therefore works structurally with software vendors and ERP partners: co-founder of SimplerInvoicing (which has since grown into the Dutch Peppol Authority), with more than 100 live software connections and typically live within a few weeks. Read how partnerships work at eConnect.

As a white-label partner you operate under eConnect's Peppol certificate, with your own brand and customer experience. That saves the cost and lead time of your own certification track, while your customers benefit from a fully certified Peppol connection via this Access Point.

ViDA-ready, with one predictable document price

ViDA (VAT in the Digital Age) makes e-invoicing and near real-time CTC reporting mandatory across Europe. More and more countries are already applying their own mandate: Germany (since January 2025), Belgium (since January 2026), France, Italy and Romania each have their own timeline. eConnect is prepared for those reporting obligations and does not charge them separately. Status messages, evidence files, CTC reporting messages and Invoice Message Responses are all included in the document price. With most competitors, every technical message counts as a separate transaction, so one invoice quickly costs three to four times the transaction price.

Frequently asked questions
Why do organizations choose eConnect as their Peppol Access Point?

Organizations choose eConnect as their Access Point because reliability, scale and Peppol expertise come together in one service. As co-founder of SimplerInvoicing (the network that has grown into the Dutch Peppol Authority) and an active participant in OpenPeppol working groups, eConnect is directly involved in the development of standards. That translates into faster implementation of changes and fewer surprises for your operational teams. You do not have to keep up with every technical and governance update yourself.

In day-to-day practice you see that in the infrastructure. eConnect runs several active Access Points, with traffic distributed automatically and taken over if one fails. With more than 12 million documents a year and 20,000+ connected organizations, the scale is proven in production. You can start via the portal, a software connection or the API, depending on what fits your process.

That combination of scale and freedom of choice makes it easier to run both short implementations and longer transition paths in a controlled way.

If you want to go deeper into the technical architecture and connection options, see the docs: Read more about Peppol Access Points.

Is eConnect as an Access Point suitable for my organization?

Yes, eConnect is suitable for organizations of different sizes, because you can start with a simple route and scale up later without switching platforms. For a quick start there is the invoice portal, with no technical setup. If you work with existing accounting software, you can connect via standard connections. For your own applications, an API route is available.

That flexibility matters when your process matures in steps. Many organizations start with invoices only and later add order messages, status updates and extra validation. In sectors with stricter requirements, such as government, healthcare or construction, it helps that certifications and compliance processes are already in place. You therefore have less to organize yourself to meet internal governance requirements.

You can choose one platform that fits your volume today and still meets growing functional and organizational requirements tomorrow.

For your organization this means a tighter process with fewer handoffs and clearer follow-up on exceptions. Staff spend more time on checks that matter, while day-to-day handling stays predictable as volume and complexity grow.

To determine which connection type fits your situation, use the documentation as a decision path: Read more about connecting to Peppol.

Can I offer Peppol to my customers as a software vendor?

Yes, as a software vendor you can offer Peppol through a white-label arrangement, operating under eConnect's certificate. You do not need your own certification track to still offer your customers a certified connection. You keep the customer relationship and the product experience, while the network and compliance layer is managed centrally. That usually shortens the time to market of your Peppol proposition.

Technically you connect via the PSB REST API, with documentation, authentication and notifications for processing status. You can include Peppol functionality in your existing workflow without a separate portal for end users. For customers it feels like one integrated solution in your software. For your team it means less maintenance of network protocols and certificate management.

That also makes the solution commercially attractive, because you can onboard new customers faster without building your own compliance and infrastructure team.

For your organization this means a tighter process with fewer handoffs and clearer follow-up on exceptions. Staff spend more time on checks that matter, while day-to-day handling stays predictable as volume and complexity grow.

Which certifications does eConnect have as an Access Point provider?

eConnect meets a broad set of certifications that is uncommon in the Dutch Peppol market. We are certified for ISO 27001, the international standard for information security that is mandatory in the Netherlands for Peppol Service Providers. We also hold NEN 7510, the additional standard for information security in healthcare, and ISAE 3402 Type II, an independent assurance report on internal control measures.

That combination matters for organizations in sectors with strict requirements for their suppliers. Healthcare institutions, public authorities and financial institutions regularly ask for these certifications before they enter a partnership. With eConnect as your Access Point, you can show your own stakeholders and accountant that your invoicing chain is demonstrably in control.

We also run independent penetration tests every year to test the security of our infrastructure. As co-founder of SimplerInvoicing (which has since grown into the Dutch Peppol Authority, NPa) and an active participant in OpenPeppol working groups, we are also directly involved in developing the security and compliance standards for the Peppol network.

What happens if my Access Point provider goes down?

With most Peppol providers, invoice traffic runs through one or two Access Points. If that Access Point is unreachable (because of maintenance, an outage or a cyberattack), invoices do not arrive. That is a real risk, especially around quarter-end closes when invoice volume rises sharply.

eConnect has deliberately removed this risk by operating several Access Points at the same time. Volume is distributed automatically across several points. If one Access Point is unreachable, another takes over seamlessly. Your suppliers and customers do not notice. This redundancy is complemented by active monitoring that detects disruptions before they have an impact.

The infrastructure is designed to handle peak load: processing capacity is 200,000 messages per hour. With a proven uptime of 99.99% over more than eight years and more than 12 million documents processed per year, scalability is not only a promise, but a daily reality. That reliability is one of the reasons eConnect is also the provider of the Dutch central government Access Point on Peppol.
